Mikayla Capelle
Head Coach
Coach Mikayla is a former NCAA Division I hockey player at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with a degree in Business and Management, and an alum of Okanagan Hockey Academy. A 2× bronze medalist at the National Women’s Under-18 Championships, born and raised in Canada where her passion for hockey began. A proud Edmonton Oilers fan who enjoys pickleball, golf, and spending time out on the lake in her spare time.
Greg Cornelius
Assistant Coach
Coach Greg, a USA Hockey Level 4 coach from Calgary, Canada, developed his love for hockey on frozen lakes and outdoor rinks. After moving to Southern California, he played competitive roller and ice hockey for Orange Coast College and Cal State Long Beach while earning a Film Production degree. For over 22 years, Greg has coached every level within the Santa Rosa Flyers youth program and now serves as Assistant Coach for the Sonoma County Flyers. His philosophy emphasizes skill, discipline, work ethic, and sportsmanship—values that continue to inspire local athletes.
TIM SCALLY
GOALIE COACH
USA Hockey Certified Coach - Level 4
Coach Tim brings over 50 years of hockey experience to the Growlers. A SF Bay Area native, Tim has earned numerous awards and achievements as a goaltender throughout his youth and adult hockey career, which spans 6 decades. Over the course of the past 25 years, Tim has performed as Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Goalie Coach for youth players in the SRJHC and has been coaching with the Growlers since the team’s inception.
